Is Starch built specifically for CPG?
Starch is built for operator founders across industries, but the CPG stack is the deepest vertical. Apps like Lot Tracker, FDA Compliance, Demand Planner, Deduction Manager, and Broker Scorecard are purpose-built for food and consumer goods brands. The non-CPG apps (CRM, Investor Reporting, Runway Analysis) work for any founder.
Can I use just the CPG apps without the rest?
Yes. You pick the apps you need — there's no requirement to use the full stack. Most CPG founders start with 2-3 apps (usually inventory, demand planning, and one channel tool) and add more as they grow.
Does this replace enterprise tools like TradeGlobal or Crisp?
For brands under $10M in revenue, yes — at a fraction of the cost. Enterprise CPG tools assume you have a dedicated ops team to configure and maintain them. Starch is designed for the founder who's doing it themselves or with 1-2 people.
How does Starch handle FSMA compliance?
The Lot Tracker app handles FSMA 204 traceability with one-up-one-down chain of custody and Key Data Elements tracking. FDA Compliance handles labeling requirements including Nutrition Facts, allergen declarations, and bioengineered food disclosures. Together they keep you audit-ready.
What integrations matter for CPG?
Shopify (for DTC), Amazon Seller Central (for FBA), wholesale marketplaces (Faire, Abound), Plaid and Stripe (for financial data), and ERPs like NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP. All are supported or on the immediate roadmap.
