Email Agent
AI that organizes your inbox and drafts replies instantly. Smart prioritization, automated follow-ups, and one-click actions help you reach inbox zero and get through email twice as fast.
What is Email Agent?
Email Agent is an AI assistant that organizes your inbox and drafts replies so you can get through email twice as fast. It triages incoming messages by priority (actual importance, not just sender), summarizes long threads in a sentence, drafts replies you can send with one click, and sets automated follow-up reminders for unanswered emails so nothing falls through the cracks. Think of it as a chief of staff for your inbox — it decides what matters, prepares your responses, and nags you about the ones you forgot. Built for operator founders who spend an hour or more a day on email and know most of it could be handled faster with the right filter.
Key Features
Who it's for
- Operator founders drowning in email who can't afford an executive assistant
- Founders managing investor, customer, and vendor communication all in one inbox
- Small teams where the founder is the bottleneck for email response time
- Anyone who has tried inbox zero and given up because the volume is too high
Example workflows
Morning inbox triage in 10 minutes
- 1Open Email Agent to see today's inbox sorted by AI-determined priority.
- 2Review high-priority messages first — investors, customers, urgent requests.
- 3For each, review the AI-drafted reply, edit if needed, and send with one click.
- 4Snooze or archive low-priority items; set follow-up reminders for anything pending a response.
Catch up after a day offline
- 1Ask Email Agent to summarize everything that came in while you were away.
- 2Review the summary by category: action required, FYI, newsletters, spam.
- 3Batch-send AI-drafted replies for the action-required messages.
- 4Archive the rest and set follow-up reminders for anything that needs a response later in the week.
What you can ask
"Summarize my unread emails from today"
"Draft a reply to the latest message from the sales team"
"Which emails need a follow-up this week?"
"Show me only high-priority messages"
"Unsubscribe me from all newsletter senders"
Frequently asked questions
Does it send emails on my behalf without asking?
No. Email Agent drafts replies, but you review and send with one click. It never sends anything without your explicit approval. The goal is to reduce the time you spend composing, not to remove you from the loop.
How does the AI triage decide what's important?
It looks at sender relationship (investor vs. newsletter), email content (action requested vs. FYI), recency, and your past behavior (who you reply to quickly vs. who you ignore). You can adjust the priority rules as you go.
Does it work with Gmail?
Yes. Email Agent connects to Gmail via standard OAuth. Your email stays in Gmail — Starch reads, labels, and drafts but doesn't move your email out of Google's infrastructure.
What about Outlook?
Outlook support is available. Same approach — OAuth connection, email stays in Microsoft's infrastructure, Starch layers on top with triage and drafting.
How is this different from Superhuman or SaneBox?
Superhuman is a premium email client with speed features. SaneBox is a filter that sorts your inbox. Email Agent does both of those things plus it drafts your replies — which is where the real time savings happen. Most founders spend more time writing email than reading it.
Can it unsubscribe me from newsletters?
Yes. It identifies newsletter senders and can bulk-unsubscribe you from ones you haven't opened in the last 30 days. You review the list first — it won't unsubscribe from anything without your approval.
