Ads Agent
Manage ad campaigns across every platform from one dashboard. AI optimizes bids, allocates budgets, and tracks ROAS while you focus on creative strategy.
What is Ads Agent?
Ads Agent is an AI-driven advertising manager that runs your campaigns across Google, Meta, and TikTok from a single dashboard. It handles the work most operator founders hate: reallocating budget toward campaigns that are actually converting, pausing ad sets spending above budget with underperforming returns, and pulling cross-channel performance into one unified report instead of three siloed dashboards. You can ask it questions like 'which creatives are driving the best ROAS this week?' and it answers with real numbers — no spreadsheet stitching. Built for early-stage founders running their own paid acquisition without a performance marketer on staff, and for small teams managing ads for a handful of clients or product lines. Currently in development; request beta access to get notified when it launches.
Key Features
Who it's for
- Operator founders spending on Meta, Google, or TikTok without a performance marketer on staff
- Two-person agencies running campaigns for a handful of clients
- CPG brands acquiring customers across Meta and Google but struggling to compare them
- Small teams testing creative at scale without a dedicated analytics hire
Example workflows
Rebalance weekly ad spend across channels
- 1Ask Ads Agent to compare ROAS across Meta, Google, and TikTok for the last 7 days.
- 2Review the channel-level breakdown: spend, conversions, cost per acquisition, and return on ad spend.
- 3Tell it to move budget from the lowest-performing channel to the highest, keeping a floor on any channel you want to keep testing.
- 4Approve the changes; Ads Agent pushes them to each ad platform and notes them in the weekly report.
Kill underperforming ad sets before Monday morning
- 1On Sunday, ask Ads Agent to flag any ad sets spending over budget with ROAS below your target.
- 2Review the flagged list with context on why each underperformed (creative fatigue, audience saturation, or bid mismatch).
- 3Pause the ones you agree with and mark the rest as exceptions.
- 4Ads Agent applies the pauses across all connected platforms and summarizes the action in your next weekly digest.

Frequently asked questions
When does Ads Agent launch?
Currently in development. Request beta access at starch.site and we will notify you when it is available. We are building this based on real operator founder feedback — if you have specific needs, tell us during the beta signup.
Does Ads Agent work if I only run ads on one platform?
Yes. Ads Agent supports Meta, Google, and TikTok, but you don't have to use all three — it works fine as a Meta-only or Google-only tool. You get the same budget pacing, creative performance tracking, and rule-based automation for whichever channels you run. If you add more channels later, they roll into the same unified reports with no re-setup.
How is this different from Meta Advantage+ or Google Performance Max?
The platform-native tools optimize within their own ecosystem — Advantage+ can shuffle budget across Meta campaigns, but it can't see that TikTok is outperforming Meta this week. Ads Agent works one layer up: it compares performance across channels, reallocates budget between them based on real ROAS, and centralizes reporting. You still use Advantage+ or Performance Max inside each platform if you want — Ads Agent sits on top.
Does it replace a performance marketer?
For most early-stage founders, yes — it covers the day-to-day work a freelancer or junior hire would handle: budget pacing, pausing underperformers, weekly reports, and creative performance analysis. It doesn't replace strategic work like positioning, brand creative, or funnel redesign. If you're spending seven figures a month or running complex multi-market campaigns, you'll still want a human in the loop.
How much should I be spending on ads for this to make sense?
Ads Agent starts earning its keep around $3k–$5k per month in ad spend across channels. Below that, the platforms' native dashboards are probably enough. Above that, the time savings and cross-channel reallocation start compounding.
What does 'AI-powered' actually mean here?
Three concrete things: it reads your ROAS, CPA, and conversion data across ad sets and suggests budget moves based on what's converting; it pauses ad sets spending over budget while returning below-target ROAS, using rules you set; and it analyzes creative performance to flag which ads are winning so you know which ones to scale. Every action it takes is logged and reversible.
Does Ads Agent need access to my ad accounts?
Yes. You connect Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and TikTok Ads Manager via their standard OAuth flows — the same way you'd connect any ads tool. Starch only requests the permissions needed to read performance data and make the changes you approve. You can revoke access at any time.
